St James House London Vitality Pool

Project details

A Grade II listed building conversion to eight private residences with basement vitality pool and steam room.

Project role

Design & specification pool water treatment and water feature systems; design of the steam room, site monitoring of installation and commissioning.

At St James’ House a warm temperature shallow freeboard vitality pool provided with 6 person water & air massage seating area zone, and a deeper water three tier body massage station.  Pool fittings are sympathetically integrated with high specification stone tiling and ambience lighting.

Despite restrictive spatial allowance typical of Listed Building redevelopments, the pool treatment consists of vertical medium pressure sand media filtration, automated chemical treatments and UV enhanced water.  The glass façade for the steam room and the continuity of high specification finishes throughout beautifully unifies the space between the two environments.
