The International Association for Sports & Leisure Facilities is a highly-regarded, non-profit organisation with a global presence, committed to championing for sustainable and high-quality sports and leisure facilities. IAKS is a source of information about planning, design, and management of facilities - and the fact that they have been around since 1965 is a testament to their success.
This September IAKS will host its 2nd International Pool Conference. The theme this year is "On The Way To Sustainability For Public Pools“ and will take place in Asker, Norway; the conference starts with a visit to an indoor pool built to passive house standards and considered to be the best example because of its energy efficiency. There is a full agenda of expert speakers including Tom Devin, a member of the IAKS Expert Circle on pools, who will be moderating a paper on 'Climate Neutral Pools'. "It's a great honour to be able to share knowledge and experience with like-minded colleagues in the industry, and to keep abreast with trends and developments on an international level", said Tom "and I hope to see many of my cohorts at the conference".
