Devin ECO Design
30th September, 2025
Over the past four months, we have rolled out our new ECO design approach, showcasing how it delivers tangible cost and energy savings for our clients.
At Devin, we’re deeply committed to enhancing sustainability and driving positive change for the benefit of our clients. Our designs meet and are able to exceed even the most rigorous sustainability targets, such as Passive House and UK Net Zero.

Our ECO water treatment design methodology evaluates 26 distinct design elements, enabling energy savings of up to 50% when compared to traditional systems. We have previously demonstrated that this can equate to a £15,000 per year saving on running costs for a typical 6-lane 25m pool.
Our ECO approach is a fundamental part of our design strategy. Through our energy modelling tool, we can verify whether a design will meet the specified targets, well before work starts on site. This proactive strategy significantly reduces risk for our clients.
And we don’t stop at the treatment system. We also optimise the pool tank design, which plays a crucial role in overall energy efficiency. Additionally, we help clients maximise the use of their pools, through the integration of movable pool structures.
Importantly, sustainability doesn’t mean compromise. Elements like decorative water elements and heat experience cabins can still be included—efficiently and effectively—without jeopardising energy goals. Our focus is on optimising, not eliminating.
The full Devin ECO design package, covering water treatment, pool tanks, movable structures, interactive & decorative features, and heat experience cabins, works to maximise energy efficiency across the entire lifecycle of a leisure or wellness facility.
