A new leisure centre for Streatham replaces the existing ice rink with a new 60m x 30m pad, and two new pools below the ice rink; a 25m and a learner pool.
Devin provided the impartial expert advice on the pool water treatment for the two pools and on the ice engineering for the ice pad.

The ice pad incorporates cooling pipes within a reinforced concrete permanent top slab; the header pipes are also contained within the slab, all laid on a vapour sealed insulator layer. Three compressors provide cooling, with roof mounted adiabatic coolers for quietness and efficiency.
Heat recovery systems are utilised for the heater mat, the pre-heat of the resurface water, heating of pool water and the ice pit snow melting.
